Originally from the coastal plains of southeast Georgia, Terry spent much of his life exploring the forests and coastal swamps of the southeast before moving to Oregon in 2012. Terry worked as a National Science Foundation REU student under Dr. Lucash that examines forest recovery following wildfire in the Klamath ecoregion.
Following graduation at PSU, he worked in local middle and high school students as a teacher. Outside of work, he enjoys canoeing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
