Stuart Steidle
Stuart is a Master's student in Geography and Journalism at University of Oregon who is interested in practicing multimedia, spatial storytelling. His approach to human-place relations values historical, multi-scalar, situated, and reflexive sensitivities of human geography and cultural anthropology. He works to couple geographic analysis with a professional storytelling toolkit to broaden public dialogue on intersectional issues involving society, ecology, and economy. Joining the ViFF project in the lab (https://viff.psu.edu/) provides him a new opportunity to explore immersive visualizations of place, and consider the affective characteristics of VR. The medium's potential to inspire tangible learning and facilitate dialogue between multiple stakeholders is what intrigues him the most.
